Destinations

City of Taj

Agra

The magical allure of the Taj Mahal draws tourists to Agra like moths to a wondrous flame. And despite the hype, it’s every bit as good as you’ve heard. But the Taj is not a stand-alone attraction. The legacy of the Mughal empire has left a magnificent fort and a liberal sprinkling of fascinating tombs and mausoleums, and there’s also fun to be had in the bustling chowks (marketplaces). The downside comes in the form of hordes of rickshaw-wallahs, touts, unofficial guides and souvenir vendors, whose persistence can be infuriating at times.

Capital of India

Delhi

The Capital city of India and the base location to explore North India, Delhi is considered to be the city with a heart. Delhi has a plethora of things for tourists to do, and it is up to you to pick and choose which items you want to tick off your list, depending on what you want to see and where you want to go. If Delhi’s rich Mughal history pulls you, then you should take time to explore historical monuments such as the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Humayun’s Tomb and Purana Qila. Delhi has famous temples scattered all across the city.

Pink CIty

Jaipur

Jaipur is Rajasthan’s biggest city and its capital. It is known (somewhat incorrectly) as the Pink City due to the distinct color of its buildings. The ‘pink’ of the Pink City is Gerua (or ochre) in which the city was coated during the visit of the Prince of Wales in 1905-06. Jaipur is known as much for its fascinating monuments and colorful markets as it is for its gorgeous handloom garments and wonderfully laid-out gardens. It is really not very difficult to fall in love with Jaipur the moment you land here.

Largest National Park

Ranthambore

Ranthambore National Park is located at a distance of 158 km from Jaipur in the Sawai Madhopur district of Southeastern Rajasthan. It covers an area of about 392 sq km, surrounded by other sanctuaries like Mansingh Sanctuary & Kaila Devi Sanctuary. It is the biggest National Park in Northern India and one among the prominent Wildlife tourist spots of India. With its rich flora and fauna, varied species of animals & birds and unique wilderness can be considered as a treat for many wildlife lovers and photographers. It is known to be the best tiger spotting location of India .

Group of Monuments

Khajuraho

India’s most titillating town is famed far and wide for the erotic stone carvings that swathe Khajuraho’s three groups of World Heritage–listed temples. The Western Group of temples, in particular, contains some stunning sculptures that together make up some of the finest temple art in the world. A small town located in the Bundelkhand region in Madhya Pradesh, Khajuraho is a brilliant example of Indian architecture and its culture back in the medieval period. The architecture of these Hindu and Jain temples depict the innocent form of love.

Kashi and Benaras

Varanasi

Varanasi is the India of your imagination. This is one of the world’s oldest continually inhabited cities, and one of the holiest in Hinduism. Pilgrims come to the Ganges here to wash away sins in the sacred waters, to cremate their loved ones, or simply to die here, hoping for liberation from the cycle of rebirth. Most visitors agree Varanasi is magical – but not for the faint-hearted. Intimate rituals of life and death take place in public, and the sights, sounds and smells of the mazelike old town – not to mention almost constant attention from touts – can be intense.
